Small businesses are a major part of the U.S. economy, and Jacksonville, Florida, is one of the best places for entrepreneurs to open a company.
According to Thumbtack.com, a survey of more than 7,700 small business owners found that Jacksonville was the top rated city in Florida for “small business friendliness.”
“We found that clear and consistent regulations and relevant training programs are among the most important factors in determining how they [business owners] view their region’s friendliness,” Thumbtack co-founder Sander Daniels, told the Florida Times-Union. “Jacksonville performs well in both of these categories, making it no surprise that the city was the most highly rated in the state.”
With such good conditions in this city, owners of these companies should ensure their small business insurance policies come with enough protection to cover all their assets, as a single incident could cancel out the benefits of being in such a good area.
Even the fastest growing small businesses can struggle to deal with a lawsuit. For example, if somebody gets hurt while using a product, the company could be sued for a significant amount of money, which could force them to close their doors for good.
